Innovative Whaxle? Assemblies from Plesh are designed to simplify replacement of wheels on transfer cars and furnace cars. The existing wheel, axle, bearing, lock nut, keeper plates, spacers and all other incidental parts are replaced with one pre-assembled Whaxle? which is slid into the U-brackets and bolted into place without the current complex assembly procedure.

  • Increased wheel bearing capacity using proprietary Plesh designed bearing
  • Longer wheel life
  • Easy change of entire Whaxle assembly on location without lifting the transfer car or furnace car - remove four bolts and lift and exchange our Whaxle Assembly
  • Wheels and Whaxle Assembly are designed for salvage / exchange for cost reduction
  • Existing wheels can be recycled by retreading the wheel to a smaller size and reinstalling in a Whaxle assembly which is supplied with an attached spacer plate
  • Load is more uniformly distributed due to load equalizer on each Whaxle assemblyiincreasing mean time before failure.
  • Existing transfer cars and furnace cars can be retrofitted with Whaxle assemblies at Plesh or your own facilities
